Consortium

Consortium

WASTE2H2 project is composed by a strong interdisciplinary consortium of 5 European partners with State of the Art background to offer future‑oriented and applied solutions from basic research, concerning computational science, materials synthesis, catalysis, engineering and automatization tools as well as prototype testing, to market evaluation of the solution and final products.

CIC energiGUNE

CIC energiGUNE

CIC energiGUNE is an energy storage research center specialized in electrochemical and thermal energy storage and conversion that aims to generate disruptive scientific knowledge in materials and technological solutions related to energy, and contributing to improve industry competitiveness and sustainable development. CIC energiGUNE has a demonstrated long lasting experience in materials modelling, design, synthesis characterization, and testing.

Within the WASTE2H2 project, CIC energiGUNE is the Project Coordinator and is in charge of computational Ionic Liquids selection, the synthesis/characterization of selected Ionic Liquids at laboratory scale, the preparation of the novel Ionic Liquid-based catalytic systems and will provide support in the metal nanoparticles (MNPs) synthesis. In addition, CIC energiGUNE deals with the coproduced carbon material characterization for its valorization  and is involved in both semi-batch catalytic tests and conceptualization fo TRL4 continuos-flow prototype. Finally, CIC energiGUNE leads as well the Dissemination and Communication activities.

Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Paris (i-CLeHS)

Chimie ParisTech - PSL has been training chemical and general engineers for the past 120 years. Its founder, Charles Friedel, wanted future chemical entrepreneurs to be trained in contact with research while in college. Chimie ParisTech - PSL therefore hosts a research center that is active and recognized in various fields of chemistry: materials, processes, chemistry for the living, molecular chemistry and covers fields such as health, energy, environment and mobility.

Composed of 4 teams with complementary expertise, i-CLeHS develops innovative research and concepts at the interface of chemistry and biology. Their focus is molecular, medicinal, inorganic and theoretical chemistry, imaging and diagnostic, analytical systems for applications ranging from biology to health and the development of continuous‑flow combining alternative tools.

Within the WASTE2H2 project, i-CLeHS is involved in the definition of the required properties of selected Ionic Liquids and different metal oxide nanoparticles to enhance their performance under microwave irradiation. Also, i-CLeHS is in charge of the catalytic test under microwave irradiation.

IoLiTec

IOLITEC, founded in 2003, is a multi-award-winning, dynamic, innovative and goal-oriented specialty chemicals company. The company´s focus is on the production, distribution and consulting of high-performance chemicals and fine chemical products. As the name IOLITEC (short for Ionic Liquids Technologies) suggests, the company began with the development of ionic liquids. The range of products and services has now been expanded to include nanomaterials, contract production and filling as well as fluorine specialties. Around 20 products are currently offered on an industrial scale. Thanks to our many years of experience, but also our extensive material libraries and databases, we are able to identify the best materials quickly and efficiently for your application.

Within the WASTE2H2 project, IOLITEC is engaged in the selection, design, and manufacturing of Ionic Liquids fulfilling the requirements for the studied application. Also, IOLITEC deals with the Ionic liquids synthesis and required amount for the continuous‑flow testing with the constructed prototype.
